Veterinary Assistant Introduction continued

How This Course Is Structured:

The first page of each unit will list the "Objectives" for that unit. It will also list the "Reading Assignment/Topic Preparation" requirements, which is a synopsis of what you will need to read and study to be able to complete the stated objectives.

The next page will present a list of "Keywords" for that unit. Understanding these terms is vital to your understanding of the material presented in that unit, and you will be given instructions on how to look them up and turn them in to your instructor.

The page after that will contain the "Overview" for the unit. This is just what it sounds like - essentially a brief description of what you can expect to have learned by the time you complete the unit and all of its associated homework, projects, and tests.

Following the overview, you will find the actual text of the unit. This will usually consist of several related topics, each of which should be read in the sequence they are presented in, but which can also be accessed directly from the "Topics in This Unit" menu. Within the body of text for each unit, you may find "Exercises or Activities" where appropriate and/or an "Exam" at the end of the unit so that you and your instructor can accurately measure your progress. Accomplishing these will really help you "nail down" what you have learned, so that you are ready to move on to the next subject.

That's about all we need to do to get ready, so click the "Next" button at the top of the page, and let's get started!
