The Purchasing & Supply Chain Management program is particularly well suited to anyone working in or interested in working in purchasing, supply chain management, or procurement. In this program students will be introduced to the various aspects of the supply chain environment, including enterprise resource planning systems and requirement systems. The relationships between purchasing, vendor selection, sources of supply and the role of technology will also be explored in this program, so that a students will understand the integrated approach to planning, acquisition, flow and distribution, from raw materials to finished products. In this program, the focus is on the management function, and the skills and resources that develop a successful manager. Topics such as developing a corporate culture, working successfully with teams, developing and implementing successful people management strategies, and workflow and performance management will be explored in this program. You will also learn what makes a successful entrepreneur, and develop an understanding of the basics of marketing management and the strategies involved in developing a marketing plan. The art of negotiation is covered in great detail, giving you a foundation for negotiating with great awareness and effectiveness. This program provides an excellent foundation for a CPM certification exam, BUT is NOT a CPM review program.
Upon registering, you are given an initial six months to complete the program. Should you need more time, you may request a 6-month extension at no additional charge.
