 Moving Around a Document

There are many ways to configure the Word window, so your window may look slightly different than the one shown. However, items describe in this section will be the same for all instances of Word 2003.

Dynamic Toolbars and Menus

Word has several Tool Bars that you will use throughout this course. All of the Office 2003 products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, FrontPage, Outlook) have dynamic toolbars and menus. This means when you first open Word the toolbars may be sharing one row instead of two. Figure 1.4 shows how the toolbars will look when you open Word for the first time.

Please remember - your screen may not look exactly like the Figures shown. The screen will differ depending on your personal configuration, and the version number you are using.

Additionally, your menus will not reveal all the choices when you first click on them. They will reveal only the most recently used menu items.
