Welcome!!

The purpose of this course is to gain a working knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in the transcribing of medical reports, teaching the skills needed to obtain an entry-level position as a medical transcriptionist.

    Here are some hints to help you get the most from these lessons.

    (Please note: The links in the "drop-down" menus are not active in this demo.)

    Use the navigation area at the top of each page to jump to specific topics. To find a specific topic, click on the Unit Menu button (upper left). From the drop-down menu, select the Unit you wish to navigate to. Next, click on the Topics in this Unit button. This drop-down menu lists every topic in the selected Unit. Clicking on a topic takes you directly to it.

    At the upper right is the Resources button. Click on it for the following options:

      Table of Contents  -  A page with links to all topics in the course
      Course Syllabus  -  Summary overview of the course
      Student Resources  -  Meet your instructor, use the student bulletin board, review your test scores, view useful websites.
      Report Forms (Templates)  -  Download case reports/forms.
      Using the Forms  -  Guidelines for using forms
