GES 113 -- 240 hours

PC Requirements/Materials Included

It is recommended that students take this program from a computer running Windows XP (or an earlier Windows based operating system). This program is not compatible with a MAC.

GES provides each student with digital transcription equipment which includes a headset, a footpedal, and digital transcription software (available via free Internet download). The system requirements are:

• Microsoft Word (any version)
• Windows Vista/2008 2000/XP/2003 and Windows 7
• Sound Card or Integrated Sound Support.
• 32 MB RAM
• 25 MB hard disk space (additional space required to store voice fiels)
• Double-speed CD-Rom drive
• Available USB Port
• Internet Access – a high speed connection is recommended.
• Active email account
• Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Acrobat Reader (available via free Internet download)


Please Note: Students will need Internet Explorer to properly view this course.
