With the spirit of the Einstein quote in mind, change must be radical and management must commit to make those changes, even at the risk of upsetting long-term employees and retiring equipment that has not been fully depreciated. Change must be governed by policies that meet both the strategic goals of the company and the concepts of Lean Enterprise. The responsibility for change must be taken to the lowest level in the company. Every employee in the company should receive a Lean education and should participate in the Lean transformation. |
