This Unit will introduce the student to the profession, variety of career possibilities and areas of specialization open to those trained to be Administrative Medical Specialists (AMS). You will become acquainted with career opportunities in the health care profession for which you, as an Administrative Medical Specialist will be qualified.

The topics covered in Unit 1 include:

In this Unit, you will learn the duties and responsibilities of the Administrative Medical Specialist and take a brief look at some basic interpersonal skills required to work effectively in an office environment.
