Your instructor will grade your activity later. Visit the website of each of the professional associations listed in Chapter 1, Table 1-2, on pages 17-19 of your textbook. Review the certifications available, including the frequently asked questions and eligibility requirements to take the certification exam. Describe which certification you are most interested in obtaining and why. Example: I'd like the Certified Electronic Claims Professional (CECP) offered by the Alliance of Claims Assistance Professionals, because I eventually plan to set up my own medical billing service from home, and sending claims electronically will save money in postage and manual billing costs.  |
