Course Structure The first page of each unit will list the Objectives for that unit. It will also list the Unit Preparation requirements, which are primarily assigned chapters to read in your textbook. The page after that will contain the Overview for the unit. This is just what it sounds like, essentially a brief description of the Unit's content. Following the overview, will be the actual text of the unit. This will usually consist of several related topics, each of which should be read in the sequence they are presented in, but which can also be accessed directly from the "Topics In This Unit" menu, as can any item discussed on this page. In each Unit you will find Activities (review exercises) and a Unit Exam at the end of the unit. These Activities and Exams each have a point value and are included in your overall grade point average. After each Activity and Unit Exam you will be given a link to view your transcripts. Prerequisites There are no specific pre-requisites for the ICD-10 course. If possible, students should have basic skills or knowledge in keyboarding (typing), using computer programs and the Internet, and English grammar and punctuation. No previous experience is required. |
